We have a new feature on the Marinwood Association Website. You can now pay your membership dues online. To pay online, simply go here, and pay via PayPal.
If you are planning to attend our community meeting tomorrow March 28th at 7pm at the Marinwood Community Center, you can pay your dues in advance online, which will allow you to vote at the Community Meeting being planned. Otherwise, you may pay at the meeting. Dues are $10 per family per year.
Marinwood will be celebrating the 34th Annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, March 30th in Marinwood Park. This event is sponsored as always, by the Las Gallinas Lions Club.
The Egg Hunt starts at 10am sharp at Marinwood Park. Note, there are three separate and simultaneous egg hunts in the park for children of different ages; we don’t want to have any tramplings! Be sure to check the signs to join the age appropriate hunt.
Afterwards, the family can enjoy Breakfast with Bunny at the Marinwood Community Center. Breakfast: Adults: $7 & Children 12 & under $5.
I am posting this article on behalf of John Hammond, who has been working as a leader in our community’s efforts to revitalize the Marinwood Plaza for many years.
This posting contains my thoughts on the BRIDGE Housing’s plans to redevelop the Marinwood Shopping Center. This does not address the wisdom or lack of wisdom of the other affordable housing proposals for the Marinwood/Lucas Valley area. The discussion of those other projects is a complex subject that will be debated for many years before being resolved. The shopping center project has been in development for over eight years and is entering the approvals process. Unlike the other proposals the shopping center may be realized in the near future. Discussion of this project needs to stand on its own and not be swept into the larger debate involving other proposals.
Reminder: We are hosting a candidates forum tomorrow, Monday May 3rd at 7:30pm, between the two candidates for Marin County Supervisor in District one. Both candidates, Susan Adams and Kerry Mazzoni, have agreed to participate. The forum will be moderated…
